Jukebox "Snippet" 45s: Chronological List of Site Additions
As I add 45s to our inventory, I pick select 45s to highlight with mp3 "snippets" so you can hear the music yourself. I only record "snippets" of tunes I particularly like, ones I think have been under-played and under-appreciated, or ones that are so rare and wonderful I'll never hear them otherwise. For myself, I keep an iTunes playlist of these "snippets," and that playlist is one I listen to most often. These pages chronicle the mp3 "snippets" I've added to our online "jukebox" in reverse chronological order. You can browse the pages to see what was added and when. Click on the blue "Play" button to play the snippet, or click on a song's title to load the page. Many of these 45 records are still for sale, though just as many have been sold. I hope you enjoy perusing these pages as much as I have enjoyed putting them together!
Here's an especially beautiful copy of what may be Curtis Mayfield's greatest Impressions song. This is the first copy I've had in the store with Near Mint audio since opening in 2001! I celebrated by making an mp3 "snippet" of it for you to hear... Enjoy!

This catchy number was the singer's biggest hit, but that's not saying much as it only peaked at #61 on the Billboard Country chart. Should have done much better!
This terrific number was the singer's fourth straight #1 Country hit starting from his debut, "A Better Man." All were from his debut album, "Killin' Time."
No, it didn't chart, but you've got to know this dynamite Donovan track... perhaps as covered later by the Soul Survivors? No? Take my word for it, you gotta have a copy of this one! Or wait! This studio group features Jocelyn Brown on lead vocals. They had no album, but the 12-inch single has a 7:30 version, and this 45 is labeled the "Short Version." I liked it so much I made an mp3 "snippet" for you to hear... check it out!
This was the Convention's first hit single, and also their best! This is a copy of the second (and primary) pressing, which has a track length of 3:05 and "Tiger Baby" on the B side. (A less common earlier pressing has a track length of 3:45 and "Chains of Love" on the flip.) Both 45s have edited versions of the 5:31 album cut. I had to celebrate the great audio on this 45 with an mp3 "snippet" of it... Enjoy!
This 1989 single was Campbell's last appearance on the Billboard Country Singles chart Top 10... a dynamite uptempo Rockabilly romp, more than worthy of 2 stars (our highest recommendation). Have a listen to the mp3 "snippet", which I hope you enjoy as much as I do!
